Come join the horde to lurch about the unsuspecting streets of DC, n’ help the ASPCA in the process!

Whether you want to fight for zombie rights, seek out living flesh or devour human brains, the DC Zombie Lurch is for you! If you’re a horror fan, a zombie-nut, an acting enthusiast, a makeup buff, or just someone who digs the idea of doing something new, crazy & different, come join us for an evening of groaning, shambling, mock-picketing n’ general undead-chaos!

Lurching only costs $5, & you’ll be helping homeless, abused, abandoned & neglected animals, while getting super performers for our End-Lurch to boot! If you want to donate more that’s perfectly fine, but this year we’re asking a suggested donation of $3 to help the ASPCA, and another $2 for a non-negotiable, nominal fee so we can afford all the good stuff that’s in store! (Such as munchies to share on the Metro, performers we’re working to book, etc.) It’s not much, but you’ll be doing a great deal of good with every generous penny. And every little bit helps!

So what’s in store for the Lurch? First, our Pre-Lurch Meet n’ Makeup! Anyone who’d like to meet up ahead of time w/friends. & anyone who might need some help w/makeup, costuming & so on is invited to do so at the Monument, up to 1 hour prior to LurchTime. :D Come anytime from 4pm on, so by 5 we’ll all be ready to head off on our ghoulish, gory way!

At 5PM, get ready to scourge the streets of DC w/your friends, family, acting troupe, gaming group or horror circle for a night of true zombie fun & horror-ific madness! First we’ll zig-zag around the city for a time, & then go underground- to hit the Metro @ Judiciary Square! From there we’ll ride just a bit up to Silver Spring, where we’ll take a quick shamble over to The Piratz Tavern! That’s where we’ll be ending our Lurch, and where WE PARTY!!!

That’s right! This year the famed Piratz Tavern has graciously agreed to become a Lurch end-spot that’ll knock your grave-kicking socks off!! Somewhere around 8pm we’ll arrive to take part in all the cool stuff the Tavern has waiting for our motley band of dead-ites! Bring the crew out for a night of fun zombie-related food, drinks (both adult & kid-friendly- including their traditional grog & a few zombie-themed concoctions), n’ join us for a wickedly wonderful evening fit for the whole family!!
