Grand Rapids Zombie Walk 2010

Posted by DannyHorror

Type: Zombie Walk (No booze),

Location: 303 Pearl St NW, Grand Rapids, Kent, MI, US

Largest Zombie Crawl in Michigan

The world’s largest Zombie Walk returns to Grand Rapids Michigan! Last year over 10,000 people came out in the pouring rain for this event, lets go even bigger this year!

Zombie Walk: A Massive mob of people dressed as Zombies walking together as a massive horde in downtown Grand Rapids on October 30th at 7PM starting at Ah-Nab-Awen Park (Between GR Public Museum and Ford Museum) in grand celebration of Halloween. “Zombie” Outf…its are as basic as you want, white t shirts with some ketchup = perfect. Also go here if you want to do even cooler stuff- http://www.zombiemaker.com/

There will NOT be a dance party afterwards sadly, it’s just too cold and not enough funding to make it happen. Next year!

Make sure that you get in costume before the event and do NOT put bloody hand prints or anything on any cars/buildings/etc. at the event.

David Stricklen says:

I have a long history working and organizing large special events, even at the scale of a Presidential visit.  I entered the Zombie walk last year and thought it was a great event.  I came away with the feeling that the zombies were “dieing” to have an activity besides simply walking together.

I thought the zombies could be organized via microphone to do various things when they hear a particular sounds.  You could use a foghorn, whistle and bell for example for three separate commands.

Can you imagine how cool it will be when 10,000 zombies all scream at the same time when they hear a foghorn or do a few (in place) thriller dance steps?  Perhaps they all grown together if they hear a bell? I would love to be a part of your event.

If you would like me to help with the even please contact me.  I enjoy special events and if contacted can give you my background etc.  BTW I am not pushy.  I would be happy to just pass on ideas or even organize the zombie movements if that is what you would like.
