The Zombie Apocalypse returns to downtown Silver Spring on Saturday, October 23rd! The 3rd Annual Silver Spring Zombie Walk promises to be even bigger than last year’s event, which drew hundreds of participants from throughout the Washington Metro area.

Ground Zero for the zombie epidemic will be Jackie’s Sidebar and Back Room - both adjacent to Jackie’s Restaurant at the corner of Georgia and Sligo Avenues. Additionally, Fire Station 1 (at Georgia and Silver Spring Ave), along with other bars and restaurants on Georgia will be available to house zombie overflow.

The walk will begin around 9:30, but zombies are encouraged to start gathering two hours or more before that time.

The walk will conclude at a 9:45 showing of George Romero’s cult classic Dawn of the Dead (1978) at the AFI Silver Theatre. Get your tickets early - last year’s screening sold out quickly!
