The Beach of the Dead… Zombies invade Brighton!

Category: Crawls,
Naturally, I love Brighton. I live here! And I’ve been organising Crawl of the Dead here since 2005. So when I found out recently that, for the first time there is to be another zombie Crawl, I was chuffed to bits. It seems there are more resident zombies in Brighton than I ever realised. So what’s happening?
Beach of the Dead! I stalked down the organiser of the Crawl on MySpace and found out what she had to say…
Why did you decide to organise Beach of the Dead?
From a love for zombie movies to a love of dressing up. The Brighton Zombie Walk 2007 (Beach of the Dead) put the two and two together and… you’ve got a zombie walk!
After researching past zombie walks and the success of recent attempts BOTD decided to take it on and give it a go!
What do you hope to achieve?
GORE! People turning up and enjoying themselves will be an achievement in its self. A crack at breaking the world record, wouldn’t hurt either.
How many zombies are you expecting?
Expecting, I can not say. Hoping? Well 50 plus and I’ll eat my foot… that’s a promise, (A prosthetic foot of course).
What’s your favourite zombie film?
If a zombie fighting a shark was in Day of the Dead that would win. As it stands it’s going to have to be a drawn between DOTD and Zombie Flesh Eaters.
What zombie-style do you prefer best? (classic white, rotten-realism etc...)
The gorier the better.
So there you have it. Gathering in a hoard from Brighton Station at 4pm on Saturday 3rd November, Beach of the Dead sounds like it’s going to be great - the best bit is that the Crawl ends in local nightclub Pussycat Club for a zombie-tastic aftershow party! This one is going to be hard to miss…
More details are available from the Beach of the Dead MySpace page and of course, our Crawls Calendar - where registered zombies can state if they’re attending or not.
