Movie Watch: All-Night Zombie Movie Mayhem at the London IMAX!

The British Film Institute (BFI) is organising the most incredible night of zombie movies ever to take place in the UK. On Saturday 19th January, they’ll be showing not one, not two, not three but four zombie movies back-to-back, on one of the most kick-ass cinema systems in the country, the London IMAX.

The best thing is the fun starts at 11.30pm! And it goes on all night! That’s insane! They’ll even provide you with free coffee! And if that’s not enough, there’s a fully licensed bar open too!

It truly is a zombie movie extravaganza of Chuck Norris proportions, and possibly the best opportunity to dress up as a zombie that I’ve seen in a quite long time. Check out the movie line up…

Zombie Movie MayhemSlither
A small southern US town is taken over by an alien plague, turning its residents into hideous mutant zombies. This heady mixture of gross-out body horror, pitch-black humour and B-movie pastiche proved to be an instant cult hit upon its release last year.

Zombie Movie Mayhem28 Days Later
A virus that locks those infected into a permanent state of murderous rage is accidentally released from a research facility. Twenty-eight days later, a small group of London survivors find themselves trapped in a desperate struggle to protect themselves from the infected. Danny Boyle’s post-apocalyptic thriller is a modern British horror classic.

Zombie Movie Mayhem28 Weeks Later
Six months after the rage virus has annihilated mainland Britain, the US army declares that reconstruction of the country can begin. As the first wave of refugees return, a family is reunited - but one of them unwittingly carries a terrible secret. The virus is not yet dead, and this time it’s more dangerous than ever.

Zombie Movie MayhemShaun of the Dead
We round off the night with another London-set zombie apocalypse, though encounters with the undead are rarely this enjoyable. Edgar Wright’s rom-zom-com is one of the funniest British films of recent years, but also manages to deliver a fair amount of splatter and a couple of genuine scares.

I wasn’t sure I could post a news article with that many exclamation marks in - Get your tickets online now zombie lovers!
