Category: Movies,
In recent months, if you check out videos on YouTube and specifically, you watch YouTube videos about zombies movies - you may have heard of Bryony Matthewman’s Internet Zombie Movie project. She’s a YouTube video blogger who’s put out a fair few videos in the past and has quite a large subscriber base.
At the beginning of June, she had an idea about making a zombie movie and it has since become a fruit of the internet through the wonders of the wonderful world wide web. You know how things work. Anyway, this is the 280,000-hits-and-counting video that started it all…
Anyway, so yes - she posted that video and then everything exploded, and now the BBC want to film the project and make a documentary about its progress. Nice!
Bryony is aiming to finish the movie by Halloween this year, so she’s got her skates on and is steaming full speed ahead. They’ll be zombies required, of course, plus other roles to fill in the process of making the movie.
Sounds fantastic, especially as anyone can get involved - it’s a collaborative project.
Further information over at the BBC Press Office, official BBC ’Bryony makes a Zombie Movie’ website and the BBC Internet Blog.
Oh, and of course - the actual website for the project: internetzombiemovie.blogspot.com. Head over there to get involved and join in the fun.
